Lorenzo Crecco is a researcher at the Italian Council for Agricultural Research and Economics (CREA), Research Centre for Agriculture and Environment. His work focuses on geospatial data science and open-source software development, with particular emphasis onÌýleveragingÌýbig geospatial data and cloud computing to investigate environmental change. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Ecosystem Biology at Sapienza University of Rome, where his research explores vegetation phenology sensitivity to photoperiod and the impacts of artificial light at night (ALAN). His work integrates satellite-based remote sensing, process-based modelling, and multivariate statistical approaches across natural and urban ecosystems.Ìý
