Academic
Applicants for graduate study must have earned a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, having earned a minimum grade point average of 3.0Ìýor equivalent.
We welcome applications from students who do not have the relevant undergraduate degree (see below), provided they can demonstrate both sufficient knowledge on the topic and motivation to study. Students who meet these criteria may be admitted to the program with the approval of the Program Director.
Students who do not have the required level of knowledge for their program of application will be asked to take certain key undergraduate level courses before they can begin the graduate courses.Ìý
Language
All students who have completed a Bachelor's degree in a language other than EnglishÌýmust demonstrate proficiency in theÌýEnglish language by submitting the official test scores from TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo. The minimum accepted test scores are as follows:

Application
To apply for an M.A. program, students are required to submit the following with the AUR online application:
- Letter of MotivationÌýexplaining your previous academic and professional experiences, your interest in the relevant M.A. program, and your career goals (700 words)Ìý
- PassportÌýphoto page or European Union ID
- Curriculum Vitae
- University TranscriptsÌýfrom all institutions attended. Applicants must have earned a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or equivalent. (Unofficial transcripts are acceptable at the application stage. If accepted, official copies will be required for enrollment)
- Two letters of Recommendation,Ìýideally one academic and one professional(applicants in the workforce for more than 5 years may submit two professional letters of recommendation)
- Proof of English ProficiencyÌýfor students whose previous degree were conducted in a language other than English. AUR accepts official TOEFL results (minimum score paper based: 637 , computer based: 270, and internet based 110) , IELTS Academic (minimum score 7) , or Duolingo English Test results (minimum score 130)
- AcademicÌýwritingÌýsampleÌýfrom one's previous studies demonstrating writing and research abilities (minimum 10 pages, any topic accepted)
Interview
Before admittance to the M.A. program, all students will be interviewed. The purpose of the interview is to enable the Director and Committee of the relevant program to assess the students’ language abilities and their knowledge of the subject. Students are expected to demonstrate their commitment and capacity to study at the graduate level.
