Luciano Di Gregorio is an聽Australian-Italian聽author,聽he teaches聽in the Faculty of English Writing, Literature and Publishing, as well as in the Business Faculty.聽聽
Luciano teaches across聽a number of聽university and international education programs in Italy and overseas.聽He came to Rome and AUR after an international career that included more than a decade in Hong Kong, several years in London, and time living and working elsewhere in Europe. That movement between countries,聽languages聽and institutions informs much of his work as a writer and teacher.聽
His teaching is聽centred聽on voice,聽style聽and human presence聽in texts. In fiction, creative聽writing聽and academic writing, he works with students on narrative control,聽restraint,聽expression聽and the development of an individual style. In business communication, he is particularly interested in the balance between vulnerability and authority, and in how professional writing can be direct,聽persuasive聽and聽recognisably聽human.聽
Luciano has written extensively for magazines,聽newspapers聽and cultural publications, with a focus on Italy, travel,聽food聽and regional culture. He is the author of the fourth edition of a聽book聽to the Italian region of Abruzzo, which was the first English language book dedicated exclusively to the region when it was originally published.聽
Alongside his teaching, Luciano writes fiction and essays. He is currently developing a book聽for on聽writing in the digital era, exploring how writers can preserve voice,聽originality聽and human presence in a rapidly changing communicative landscape.聽
Based in Rome, he divides his time between teaching,聽writing聽and exploring the relationship between聽identity and聽storytelling.聽
