91直播 of Rome (AUR) invites applications for a full-time, open-rank faculty position in Art History, beginning in Fall 2027.
AUR's BA in Art History combines the critical, comparative, and interdisciplinary approaches of an American liberal arts education with exceptional opportunities for direct engagement with art, architecture, museums, collections, archives, and cultural institutions throughout Rome.
We seek an accomplished scholar-teacher whose research and teaching will expand the intellectual, methodological, and geographic scope of the Art History program. The successful candidate will contribute to the continued growth and visibility of the program, maintain an active scholarly agenda, and demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, mentorship, and academic citizenship.
Preferred areas of specialization include听early modern, modern, and contemporary art; global art history; museum and curatorial studies; collecting, provenance, and the art market; visual and material culture; and architectural history.听We also welcome candidates whose teaching and research build productive connections between Art History and Fine Arts, fostering interdisciplinary approaches to visual culture and encouraging collaboration across programs, museums, collections, and other cultural institutions. Candidates should be prepared to teach foundational Art History courses as well as upper-level courses in their areas of expertise.
Located in Rome, AUR offers exceptional opportunities for object-based, site-specific, and experiential teaching through engagement with museums, collections, archives, galleries, monuments, archaeological sites, and contemporary cultural institutions. The successful candidate will be encouraged to integrate these resources into both teaching and research.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Art History or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and mentorship.
- Active record of scholarly research and publication appropriate to career stage.
- Ability to teach foundational Art History courses as well as advanced courses in the candidate's area of specialization.
- Commitment to interdisciplinary teaching, active learning, and student-centered pedagogy.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with museum-based, object-based, archival, or site-based teaching and research.
- Experience in an American liberal arts and/or international university environment.
- Interest in interdisciplinary collaboration across Art History, Fine Arts, and related fields.
- Demonstrated engagement with museums, collections, archives, galleries, or other cultural institutions.
- Experience with curriculum development, academic administration, program leadership, or strategic planning.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses across the Art History curriculum.
- Maintain an active scholarly and professional research agenda.
- Advise and mentor students in their academic, professional, and scholarly development.
- Contribute to curriculum development, assessment, strategic planning, and program growth.
- Participate in university service and faculty governance.
- Contribute to the intellectual life and visibility of the Art History program through lectures, seminars, conferences, exhibitions, publications, and collaborations with cultural institutions.
- Depending on rank, experience, and institutional needs, contribute to academic leadership and program administration, including potential future service as Program Director.

AUR听offers a听BA in Psychology听that听provides students with a comprehensive foundation in the study of human behavior and mental processes. We seek an accomplished scholar-teacher whose research and teaching will contribute to the growth of the program. The successful candidate will oversee and promote the visibility of the program, demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, mentorship, and academic citizenship, lead curriculum development and assessment activities, engage with external stakeholders, collaborate with faculty and staff, and maintain an active scholarly agenda.听

L'Addetto al Facility e alla Logistica, sotto la supervisione del Physical Plant Operations Manager, sar脿 responsabile del supporto alla manutenzione generale del campus e delle attivit脿 logistiche connesse al funzionamento quotidiano degli spazi universitari, operando in un team per garantire funzionalit脿, ordine e supporto operativo a tutte le aree del campus.
Il ruolo richiede un pro铿乴o versatile, capace di intervenire su piccole riparazioni di varia natura e di adattarsi con 铿俥ssibilit脿 ad attivit脿 di supporto logistico ed eventi.
Principali responsabilit脿
Manutenzione Generale e Piccole Riparazioni:
- Eseguire piccoli interventi di manutenzione/riparazione ordinaria (pittura, falegnameria di base, piccola manutenzione idraulica ed elettrica, giardinaggio).
- Ispezionare e riparare porte, 铿乶estre, arredi e altri elementi non strutturali.
- Segnalare e coordinarsi con tecnici specializzati esterni per interventi che richiedono competenze certi铿乧ate (impianti elettrici complessi, caldaie, condizionamento).
- Collaborare con il team per rispondere tempestivamente alle richieste di manutenzione del campus.
Attivit脿 Logistiche:
- Movimentazione, trasporto e sistemazione di materiali, arredi e attrezzature tra i diversi spazi del campus.
- Supporto alla ricezione, veri铿乧a e stoccaggio di forniture e materiali in magazzino.
- Supporto a piccoli traslochi interni e riorganizzazioni di spazi (uffici, aule, depositi).
- Consegna e ritiro di materiali tra i diversi edi铿乧i del campus.
Preparazione Eventi:
- Allestimento e disallestimento di spazi per eventi accademici e istituzionali, secondo le indicazioni del calendario accademico.
- Supporto logistico durante eventi (trasporto materiali, disposizione arredi, gestione spazi).
Manutenzione Preventiva:
- Partecipare ai controlli periodici degli spazi per individuare in anticipo eventuali necessit脿 di intervento.
- Mantenere un registro semplice delle attivit脿 svolte e segnalare tempestivamente criticit脿 rilevanti.
Collaborazione di Squadra:
- Lavorare in collaborazione con il team di manutenzione e logistica per raggiungere gli obiettivi comuni.
- Collaborare efficacemente con il responsabile di squadra nel completare i compiti assegnati.

Requisiti
- Esperienza pregressa in ruoli di manutenzione generale, facility o logistica.

Position: Addetto al Facility e alla Logistica
Reporting to the Physical Plant Operations Manager, the Facility and Logistics Assistant will support the general maintenance of the campus and the logistical activities connected with the day-to-day operation of University spaces. Working as part of a team, the role will help ensure that all campus areas remain functional, orderly, and properly supported.
The position requires a versatile individual who can carry out minor repairs in a variety of areas and adapt 铿俥xibly to logistical and event-support activities.
Key Responsibilities
General Maintenance and Minor Repairs
- Carry out minor routine maintenance and repair work, including painting, basic carpentry, minor plumbing and electrical repairs, and gardening.
- Inspect and repair doors, windows, furniture, and other non-structural elements.
- Report issues and coordinate with external specialised technicians when work requires certi铿乪d expertise, such as complex electrical systems, boilers, or air-conditioning systems.
- Work with the team to respond promptly to campus maintenance requests.
Logistical Activities
- Move, transport, and arrange materials, furniture, and equipment across the various campus spaces.
- Support the receipt, inspection, and storage of supplies and materials in the warehouse.
- Assist with minor internal moves and space reorganisations, including offices, classrooms, and storage areas.
- Deliver and collect materials between the different campus buildings.
Event Set-Up
- Set up and dismantle spaces for academic and institutional events, in accordance with the academic calendar.
- Provide logistical support during events, including transporting materials, arranging furniture, and managing spaces.
Preventive Maintenance
- Participate in periodic inspections of campus spaces to identify maintenance needs in advance.
- Maintain a simple record of completed activities and promptly report any signi铿乧ant issues.
Team Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance and logistics team to achieve shared objectives.
- Cooperate effectively with the team manager in completing assigned tasks.
- Contribute to a positive, 铿俥xible, and solution-oriented working environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in general maintenance, facilities, or logistics roles.
- Previous experience in a school, university, or hospitality environment is considered an advantage.
- Practical skills and the ability to carry out minor repairs in different areas, including plumbing, electrical work, and basic carpentry.
- Willingness and ability to perform logistical duties, including moving loads, warehouse support, and internal transport.
- Flexibility in working hours, including occasional evening or weekend availability for events.
- Ability to work independently on smaller tasks and collaboratively on more complex activities.
- Good communication skills with colleagues and managers.
- Category B driving licence preferred, where transport of materials between locations is required.
