Paola V. Termine听is Adjunct Professor of Economics in the MA in Food Studies.听She joined AUR after an extensive international career听as听development听economist听in the United Nations system.听听
Dr.听Termine has worked for over twenty years on听food systems governance, rural development,听labour. Her work has combined research, policy analysis and dialogue with governments, international organizations, researchers, and civil society partners听across Europe, North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, and the Middle East.听In the last seven years听she has听provided听technical advice to the听High Level听Panel of Experts on Food Security and Nutrition (HLPE-FSN) of the UN Committee on World Food Security, serving as technical review editor for the HLPE reports.听
Dr. Termine recent听areas of听interest听include food security and nutrition; resilience; and Indigenous Peoples鈥櫶齠ood systems.听She was among the proponents of the six dimensions of food security framework and has contributed to advancing this approach in policy and scholarly work.听At AUR, she teaches听the MA course 鈥淔ood, rurality and local development鈥�.听听
