Every semester we connect juniors, seniors, and qualified study鈥慳broad students with credit鈥慴earing internships across Rome鈥檚 corporate, nonprofit, cultural, and diplomatic sectors. The majority of AUR students complete at least one placement - many complete two.

Internships
Internships are structured, faculty鈥憇upervised work experiences that let you:
- Apply academic theory in a real workplace
- Explore potential career paths first鈥慼and
- Build a professional network in Rome鈥檚 international community
Host organizations gain fresh perspectives and multilingual talent; students leave with proven skills and professional references.
Eligibility
- Full鈥憈ime AUR juniors or seniors, or two鈥憇emester study鈥慳broad students
- GPA 3.0 or higher
- Approval from an academic advisor
Requirements
- Complete at least 135 on鈥憇ite hours (travel time excluded)
- Enroll in INT 450 Internship Seminar
- Receive a favorable final evaluation from your internship host supervisor
- Document your internship experience (we recommend keeping a reflective log) and deliver a final class presentation
Internships & U.S. Federal Aid
Students using U.S. federal aid may apply internship credits to no more than 25 % of their AUR degree program (typically one semester; up to one academic year for four鈥憏ear students). Contact the Financial Aid office for details.
