Stefano Presutti is PhD in linguistics and adjunct professor of Italian studies.Since 2015, he has been teaching Italian L2 at American universities and study programs in Rome, such as University of California (UCEAP), the Catholic University of America (CUA), 91ֱ of Rome (AUR), and many others.
In his doctoral research, he investigated the Italian L2 acquisition development and the relationship between oral and written language in Western societies, especially at the grapho-phonological level. Currently working on commodified identity and authenticity iconized by graphic signs in urban landscapes and brand logos.His research interests include grapholinguistics, linguistic anthropology, social semiotics, and visual communication. His work has been recently published in academic journals such asLingua,Social Semiotics,Visual Communication, andInternational Journal of Multilingualism.
